New York’s eight mobile sportsbooks accepted $615.1 million in wagers in NFL Week 6 and generated $63.3 million in gross revenue for the week ending Oct. 18. The 10.3% statewide hold was the highest since the week ending Aug. 16, lifting weekly operator winnings above $60 million for the first time since the FIFA World Cup ended in mid-July.

The handle rose 5.8% from the previous week and was 11% higher than the corresponding Week 6 in 2025. It was the fifth-largest weekly mobile wagering total since New York launched the market, and the state’s third $600 million-plus weekly handle of the fall. As we reported after Week 4, New York had already registered two $600 million-plus weeks during the first four games of the NFL season.

Gross revenue increased 21.4% from $52.1 million in the preceding week, when wagering totaled $581.2 million. The Week 6 result was nevertheless 8% below the $68.8 million in revenue recorded in the corresponding week last year, which ranked 10th in state history.

FanDuel led operators with $226.5 million in wagers and $27.3 million in revenue, producing a 12.1% hold. It was FanDuel’s first double-digit hold since Week 1 of the college football season.

DraftKings took $208.5 million in wagers and recorded $20.9 million in revenue at a 10% hold. Its handle exceeded $200 million for a third consecutive week, while its revenue was its first weekly total above $20 million since the week ending July 19.

Among the other operators, Fanatics posted an 8.5% hold on $68.4 million in wagers, while BetMGM took a season-high $53.2 million in wagers at a 7.7% hold. Caesars accepted $37.5 million in bets and held 8.2%. All eight operators ended the week profitably, generating an estimated $32.3 million in state tax receipts.

New York’s estimated calendar-year sports-betting tax receipts surpassed $1 billion. The state levies a 51% tax on mobile sports-wagering gross gaming revenue. Mobile wagering, which has operated in New York since January 2022, had produced $91.2 billion in bets and $8.3 billion in gross gaming revenue through the end of State Fiscal Year 2026, according to the state comptroller’s office.

The October-to-March stretch has historically brought heavier wagering activity in New York, reflecting events including the World Series, Super Bowl and NCAA Basketball Tournament.
