New York’s five commercial casinos generated $184.3 million in gaming revenue in September, up 219.8% from the same month a year earlier. Resorts World New York City accounted for $126.7 million, or roughly 69% of the statewide total, far ahead of the other four properties.
The September result followed Resorts World NYC’s expansion into table games in April, when it became the first casino to offer the expanded format under New York’s commercial casino framework. The property later expanded into a renovated first-floor gaming area in July, adding more than 1,400 slot machines. As covered in August, the property had begun ramping up its full casino operation with the April table-game launch.
CDC Gaming’s account of New York State Gaming Commission data said the statewide rise was boosted by Resorts World NYC. The property’s September revenue was nevertheless 6.9% lower than in August.
Slots and electronic table games supplied the largest share of the statewide total, generating $129.3 million, up 217.8% year on year. Traditional table-game revenue rose 252.7% to $53.6 million, with additional live-dealer facilities at Resorts World NYC contributing to the increase.
The smaller verticals moved in the other direction. Poker generated about $798,500, compared with roughly $822,800 a year earlier. Retail sports wagering contributed about $641,500, down 30.8% from approximately $926,500 in September 2025.
Away from Resorts World NYC, Rivers Casino & Resort was the second-largest property at $20.1 million, up 5.5% year on year. Del Lago Resort & Casino recorded the strongest percentage gain among the established full-service casinos, rising 10.1% to $15 million.
Resorts World Catskills posted the largest decline, falling 13.4% to $13.4 million, while Tioga Downs fell 4.3% to $9 million. The figures underline how heavily September’s statewide growth was concentrated at Resorts World NYC, rather than being shared evenly across the market.
The five casinos retained $109.5 million after gaming taxes, while the state collected about $74.7 million in gaming-tax revenue for the month.
